About Dr. Rotchford
J. Kimber Rotchford, MD, delivers specialized care for both substance use disorders and chronic pain management.
He challenges any residential or outpatient facility to beat his long term clinical outcomes. Dr. Rotchford is among the first addiction medicine specialists to be board certified. He is a longstanding Fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine and he is among the first fellows of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
Dr. Rotchford has also been designated a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. His solid background in general medicine, the neurological sciences, addiction medicine, and his proficiency in medical acupuncture all contribute to his acknowledged expertise in chronic pain management. His treatment plans are individualized and designed to be as safe and effective as possible, even with the most complex of medical presentations.
Dr. Rotchford earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle. At the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine, he completed additional training in acupuncture for physicians. Dr. Rotchford also graduated with a Master of Public Health from the University of Washington School of Public Health. He is a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.
During his 40 years of medical practice, Dr. Rotchford has continued to research and publish articles in a number of professional publications. He also has several “lay” publications related to his patient population. He has professionally spoken and taught physicians and other medical professionals.
